Salt Lake City, UT World Kindness Week Kick-Off Event

In honor of World Kindness Week, Neutron Interactive will be hosting an exclusive screening of the documentary film, Rain in a Dry Land. The film “chronicles the fortunes of two Somali Bantu families, transported by relief agencies from years of civil war and refugee life to Springfield, Massachusetts and Atlanta, Georgia.”

With an estimated 30,000 refugees in Utah, this film speaks directly to our local community and showcases the effect we can have on the integration and adaptation of immigrant families to life in the United States. Neutron’s focus during this year’s World Kindness Week will be contributing to the efforts of the Utah Refugee Services Office.

About

The idea behind the World Kindness Movement (WKM) crystallised at a conference in Tokyo in 1997 when the Small Kindness Movement of Japan brought together like-minded kindness movements from around the world. The WKM was officially launched in Singapore on 18 November 2000 at the 3rd WKM Conference.

The mission of the WKM is to inspire individuals towards greater kindness and to connect nations to create a kinder world.
